Carbon is a furniture collection created for Nilufar during Milano Design Week 2024.

Inspired by a space-time journey reminiscent of African tribal creations, it merges contemporary
design with primitive art.

Each piece is unique, featuring a numbered plate that identifies it as a collector’s item.

The geometric shapes echo the interlocking techniques of Italian master carpenters, resulting in solid and simple structures.

The surface texture, achieved through a carbonization technique, evokes the furrows of the earth and the energy of a volcano, while the bronze version replicates the sensory effect of burnt wood.

The monochrome color palette enhances the natural tones of wood and the luminosity of bronze.
The Carbon Collection includes four types of flat solutions with versatile dimensions: a low table, two coffee tables, a console, and a large bench.

CARBON COLLECTION @ MDW 2024

​​The Carbon Collection, the first designed by Etereo – and the result of a perfect fusion between wild nature and contemporary design, was presented during the “Time Traveller” exhibition in Nilufar, held from 15 to 21 April. Curated by founder Nina Yashar, the exhibition was held in two locations, Viale Lancetti and Via della Spiga. The exhibition path explored and reinterpreted the complex history of design and its evolutions, offering visitors a journey that ranges from historical design to the most daring proposals of our time. In perfect harmony with the exhibition’s theme, the Carbon Collection was exhibited at the Viale Lancetti venue. It represents more than just décor pieces: it is an invitation to travel through time and space.
