ETEREO X ALIMONTI MILANO
MEDUSA is conceived within a formal tension: between rigidity and fluidity, between what is visible and what seems impossible.
Etereo unveils MEDUSA, a collection designed for Alimonti that explores the expressive potential of natural marble in dialogue with metal.
The marble surface is treated as if it were fabric. Folds, controlled torsions and subtle irregularities interrupt the rigidity of the slab, generating a vertical rhythm that reshapes the perception of volume. The material is no longer perceived as a static mass, but as a form suspended between movement and stillness.
Bronzed aluminum introduces a defined structural line — not a secondary element, but a visible and intentional presence that crosses and supports the composition. Its calibrated metallic mark enters into dialogue with the natural veining of the onyx, establishing a balance between precision and spontaneity, structure and fluidity.
The name MEDUSA evokes a figure suspended between attraction and immobility. In mythology, what is alive turns to stone. The project reflects this duality: what appears fluid becomes solid; what seems rigid reveals an internal sense of movement. Stone becomes gesture. Metal becomes continuity.
MEDUSA represents a reflection on transformation — the possibility of rendering dynamic what is inherently still — redefining marble not only as structure, but as sculptural expression.
